Our Real Life
Sometimes all you need is a little retail therapy to lift your spirits! Life has a been a whirlwind of craziness and things not going as planned lately (seriously, selling a house is a roller coaster!) so I just had to step back, buy myself a pair of new sunglasses, and get a little perspective. In the midst of all the stress, I’ve been trying to focus on the positive, and working on self respect and self love lately – and boy does it make a difference!
And wine, that might have helped too. Except my 11-year old saw me pouring wine from a can and said, in his very sarcastic voice, “What is this? Wine in a CAN?! Classy, mom. Classy.” Nothing like being mocked by your own child. But seriously, it was so good! I found this at Whole Foods and I loved that I could have one glass without the rest going flat. And yes son, I AM classy!
When it’s rainy and cold outside and you’re back to not being able to use your kitchen for fear of signs of actual use when strangers come to invade your privacy… rice cooked in Kettle & Fire Bone Broth under a bed of beef stew is the perfect answer!
We’ve been eating out more than usual because of the house-craziness, so we were happy to discover Thai Pavillion where we had soup, sushi, summer rolls, Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, and veggie tempura (all gluten-free)! We definitely left there with happy bellies!
But, when we’re not instant-potting or eating out, the next best option for us to ensure our kitchen stays spotless is grilling. And with the warmer weather lately, we thought you might be thinking the same thing and want some fresh ideas!
