Paleo-friendly chocolate, just in time for Valentine’s day! Plus, a look at our week:
This is what progress looks like! Would you believe that just a couple weeks ago I couldn’t even bend over?! Thanks to an anti-inflammatory AIP diet, paired with getting the right medical treatment, stretching, doing handstands and inverting on the hanging rings in our home gym, this lady is mobile once again! And it feels soooo good!
Know what else is good for healing? Snuggles with all my boys – fur-babies included! Family time watching movies and playing games has been great for my adrenal recovery. One of our favorite family games (that even our youngest can participate in) is Blockus! And there are always giggles and smiles whenever we play it.
Cole is also continuing to do well! He’s close to wrapping up wrestling season, and I think we’ll all miss our family meals together celebrating his efforts afterwords! Last week he chose Elevation Burger. We wrote all about this burger joint in this post, including why we love it and what we each order! Of course, the fact that the comic book store and gluten-free bakery are in walking distance is also a reason to love it!
It’s not always burgers and fries though. Meat and vegetables is where the real healing happens! I find it easiest to get lots of veggies in at lunch, simply by packing leftovers and a salad. Our award-winning meatloaf recipe is also packed with veggies – doubling down on the anti-oxidant and micro-nutrient greens are a win-win! Get our meatloaf recipe —> HERE!

It’s not too late to get your loved one good chocolate. Don’t go for the cheap, sugar-filed stuff at the stores! Here’s our ideas for chocolate that’s got antioxidants and nutrients like magnesium – sustainably harvested for fair trade standards. You know, for us high maintenance types!
Forget the traditional box of chocolates, giving your Valentine our Treats and Sweets Box from One Stop Paleo Shop will definitely win their heart! It has: Sweet potato chips cooked in coconut oil, chocolate macaroons, chocolate coconut butter cups, superfood fudge spread, chocolate sea salt protein bar, and a maple-sweetened chocolate. Gift it to yourself or your sweetie! Find it —> HERE!
Something I’ve been LOVING lately is Cocoa Manna Brewing Chocolate. It’s a great alternative for those of you who can’t tolerate coffee but still want a warm, deep-flavored pick-me-up in the morning. We brew it just like coffee and I usually have it with almond milk or grass-fed cream for an incredilbe “latte!” Find it —> HERE! Code for 10% off discount below!
A fun, February-only exclusive are the Strawberry Coconut Cups from Eating Evolved! We love all the other coconut butter cup flavors too and can’t wait to try this one. These would make for a perfect Valentine’s present! Find them —> HERE!
As far as Paleo chocolates go, PaleoTreats have always been one of our favorites! We love the flavor combinations and always keep a stash of these in the freezer for special occasions, like Saturday night movie night! Find them —> HERE!
