We’re been really busy this week! We did what most people seemto do the weeks before the holidays and baked batches upon batches of cookies? We spent last weekend with our family and friends baking loads of cookies for a Paleo Cookie Swap, and although our Melting Snowman Puddle Cookies weren’t exactly Pinterest worthy, they couldn’t have been more perfect in Wesley’s eyes. A cookie monster will never be choosey!
He also had us giggling this week when he proclaimed, “when you put whipped cream on your chop it’s the most best.” Yes son, it is. On a related note: pork chops and waffles with whipped cream is a killer dinner, even better than chicken & waffles!
Speaking of Wesley (our youngest) – on Facebook we re-shared how Stacy beat depression after weaning Wes, a story many women connect with. We know that what is supposed to be a joyous season, can actually be a challenging season for many. If you are struggling with balance and health goals, know that you’re not alone and we’re pulling for you!
And as long as we’re keeping it real… Stacy also shared on Facebook that she’s been struggling lately. Staying up too late, focusing on the negative, and not making the best food choices. It turns out a lot of you are feeling the same! We love being part of such an uplifting community, thank you for all the virtual support and love. This inspired her to finish writing this post she’s been drafting for the past 6 months!
Our home gym, House of Gainz has been seeing a lot of our family lately! The boys, and even the Bengal Babies have been joining us. It melts our heart to see boy’s enthusiasm for spending time with us working out.
Finn even writes his program on our clipboard. And we’re so excited to be doing Smolov together! Working out with friends & family is the best!
And have we ever mentioned that we have the MOST TALENTED FRIENDS?!
Danielle from Against All Grain released Joyful, a holiday ebook; Brittany Angell’s much anticipated Every Last Crumb and Ciarra Hannah’s Frugal Paleo hit homes just in time for the holidays. Each of these books offer unique tips, tools and seriously delicious recipes. Virtual high-fives to these beautiful foodies! We also have seen preview copies of Performance Paleo Cookbook by Stephanie of Stupid Easy Paleo and Paleo Eats by Kelly of A Girl Worth Saving and can legitimately tell you both of those books also look amazing! Stacy is loving Performance Paleo as an accompaniment to getting back on track to clean eating to maximize strength and feeling great in the gym – and all the time!
And then there’s Russ, aka The Domestic Man. He announced this week that he’s been signed on as a regular contributor for Food & Wine Magazine. We couldn’t be more thrilled for this much-deserving guy! Check out one of his Food & Wine magazine articles here: 6 Tips for a Paleo-Friendly Christmas.
PLUS, our friends Simone of Zenbelly and Jennifer of Predominately Paleo announced the release date of their new ebook: Yiddish Kitchen: Grain Free Jewish Recipes for the Holidays and Everyday. If you PRE-ORDER NOW, you’ll instantly receive two bonus e-books: HANNUKAH MENU, featuring 10 recipes, and the how-to recipe sheets for their bagel and cashew cream cheese – just in time for the Festival of Lights!
A huge THANKS to ALL OF YOU for supporting us and spreading the word about Real Life Paleo. We were thrilled to hear that it is going back to print so soon, and will also be featured in Barnes and Noble stores across the nation as a recommended cookbook for the New Year. Just think of all the people who may choose Real Life Paleo over the low-fat vegan book sitting right next to it! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
And on a related note, the Real Life Paleo ebook version (ibook and kindle) has been updated to be MUCH MORE USER-FRIENDLY! If you already downloaded, you can update and get the new version for FREE!
