One of the greatest things about doing the Reset and Thrive Library has been how we’ve been able to discover lots of great new resources we had no idea even existed! One of those, which we want to share with you today is Salads without Grain by Hayley Ryczek from Health Starts in the Kitchen. What’s awesome, is that you get his book (essentially) for under $1 when you buy it as part of the bundle of 40 resources for $39 in the Reset and Thrive Library!
As everyone who follows @PaleoParents on Instagram knows, Stacy loves salad. But, as you probably also know, she eats a lot of the same salads everyday. Honestly, coming up with salad ideas that won’t bore you is hard. But now we’ve got a whole book full of ideas!
To the more interesting variations like Pittsburgh Steak Salad (pictured below) or Sesame Ginger Chicken Slaw. We’re very excited to try out all of these!
Stacy loved this eBook so much she immediately messaged me when she discovered it and insisted we make nearly everything in it! In fact, when pulling together the Meal Pan for the Reset and Thrive Library you will find it used several times each week because salads pack such a nutritional punch that finding such variety to pack a flavorful punch is truly unique!
But I know what you’re really after. You want a little preview, a little taste test of what you can expect from Salads without Grains. Here’s a recipe that really piqued our interest. How would you like a hamburger salad? Is it healthy? It’s a salad isn’t it?!
- Beef Hamburger Patties
- Cheddar Cheese
- Thousand Island Dressing
- Assemble salad ingredients and dress with Thousand Island.
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup sweet pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon finely diced onion
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Store dressing in the refrigerator for up to a week.
One of the neat things about this book is how the dressing recipes fit four to a page, allowing you to print them out and file them in your recipe box. Genius, really.
When we conceived of the Reset and Thrive Library, we wanted to include something special that you could only get in when you bought the library. So knowing how helpful planning can be (ultimately the basis for the bundle of resources) we created an exclusive 2 week meal plan using recipes from the books in the library. We’re really proud of it. We have provided make-ahead time saving tips, ensured you have opportunities to cook once and eat twice, and even focused on creating a balance of healthy foods – like good Omega 3 fatty acids and vegetables to help you eat the rainbow. Part of how we accomplished that was using recipes from Salads without Grains, as well the twelve other real foods cookbooks included in the Library.
If you’re interested in getting the meal plan and associated cookbooks you’ll have to act fast to get it! Our Reset and Thrive Library will go away forever after Sunday! We think it will be well worth it to add these exciting books to your collection.
