We’ve heard from many of you who are closely anticipating the arrival of Beyond Bacon. Often times it goes along the lines of “Your book can’t come soon enough! I have a whole pig in my freezer waiting for it!” or “I’m going to order a whole pig just so I can utilize every part of your book!”

After some consideration we decided this is a completely reasonable thing for you to ask. And frankly, the idea that that we could be helping local farmers, your health and benefiting the earth by encouraging you to order a whole animal directly is very exciting! So, we’ve decided to step in and help you out. For those of you who have pre-ordered Beyond Bacon and just can’t wait to get your hands on it, we want to give you an 8 page PDF of the section of Beyond Bacon entitled “How to Find and Afford Pastured Pork” so that you can be prepared for July 2nd.
With this brief section, you’ll know everything you’ll need to find the good stuff in your area, including what questions to ask your pig farmer and how to navigate a cut sheet!
