Abundance Mindset

The feeling was I have an abundance of everything that I need within me, and once I realized that there was no more dependency on anything outside of me. So there wasn’t anything to take away from my abundance, right? – Jeannine Rashidi

  • Stacy sees abundance as being tied to resilience, not avoidance which is where toxic positivity comes from. But in order to be resilient and persevere when circumstances aren’t great, we have to be able to see that hope.
  • Jeannine believes that hope is a key factor in leading folks out of a trauma mindset. The domains of Ayurvedic psychology are uplifting intelligence, boosting confidence and determination, and stimulating the consciousness to set us up for self-realization.
  • So Jeannine works with individuals to reclaim the parts of themselves that became disconnected during the traumatic event.
  • Whether you identify your past experiences as “big T” or “little t” trauma, it’s all about the relationship with yourself. The more you are aware of the things that trigger you, the better your whole mental state and your relationship with others. Who are you with all of these experiences?
  • One of the biggest challenges to being able to regulate towards this mindset, in activating that resilience and being able to identify your own triggers and having that self-awareness.
  • Emotional triggers can show up in some many different ways, often in physical symptoms. So many of our different senses can be activated. This can include increased heart rate, holding your breath or hyperventilating, nervousness, anxiety, and so much more.
  • Stacy shares at the end of the show some of the real life events that inspired this show.

Next Steps

  • Jeannine recommends to start recognizing your thoughts by writing them down. Firstly, reframe and rephrase the sentence into a more positive statement. Also, question that thought using the framework from The Work of Byron Katie:
    • Is it true?
    • How do you know for certain is true?
    • How do you feel when you believe that thought?
    • Who would you be without that thought?
