Stacy’s Weekly Wrap-Up, Dec 19th: Family Bonding + Last Minute Gift Ideas

As a small business owner, getting ready for the holidays and making time for activities has me practicing boundaries and prioritizing the things that matter most in order to balance a full plate. I’ve had a great start to this month, full of family bonding, so in case you missed it, here’s what we’ve been up to!

Some cute butts for you!

Family Bonding Roadtrip!

We went to visit my mom and her partner in NC! She recently moved from Wilmington to Oak Island, which is about as far away as you can get for being just one state over. She’s in Southern NC, I’m in Northern VA. I wish she was closer, but I’m so glad she’s happy living the beach life!

It was absolutely amazing to get everyone together for some quality time and much-needed family bonding! After driving the entire time both ways (Matt drives the USPS truck on the right-hand side all day and is not as comfortable driving on the left anymore), I needed some time to recover. Mental fatigue is physically draining!

It was so worth it though. We brought the dogs, helped Mom unpack, went antiquing, discovered local hot spots (like Fikins‘), I got to do some reading, and we spent time a lot of time just hanging out as a family. Definitely a trip for the books!

I’m an Aging Parent (What?!)

These last few weeks have been filled with reminders of just how old my kids are getting. My teens don’t really need me much anymore, so when they ask for skincare advice, I can’t help but get a little overzealous. Finn’s taller than me now, a 14-year-old grown man, but he’s still learning how to master life and be his best self.

We did a simple wash with Clear Pore Cleanser and a Charcoal Mask to combat those inevitable teenage breakouts. It always amazes me how effective this mask is at pulling the grime from pores to the surface!

I live for these moments and love watching my kids learn to grow and thrive! And I love that they still allow me to be a part of it.

Cole Started Work!

If you’re a long-time listener of the Whole View, then you might have heard me talk about Cole landing his very first job! He got it through Indeed, which is where I got my first big break, so this is truly a full circle moment.

The only thing I’d change is not spoiling it by having the flu.
