Anytime you get a group of moms together, especially to talk about parenting and how they choose to care for and feed their children, you’re bound to get some passionate responses!
I was invited to participate in a group debate last week on The Food Chain on BBC world radio, along with a (kosher) vegetarian and vegan mother.
You can listen —> HERE!
The debate was spurred by a case in Italy of parents facing jail time for feeding their children vegan and other “reckless” diets. We discussed the strengths and shortcomings of different dietary approaches, the implications of excluding certain foods from a child’s plate, and if parents were wrong to impose their own restrictive diets on their children.
It was a great discussion… and yes, I (mostly!) played nice.
I’d love for you to take a listen and let me know what you think! As a voice for the community, I take the task of representing the Paleo diet seriously and am honored to be in a position to do so.
Do you agree or disagree with what was said by myself or the other moms? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment below! As always, thanks for your support!
p.s. don’t miss my favorite quote and (to me) funny moment of the show… “animals are our friends, we don’t eat our friends.” ♥
