Product Review & Giveaway: Zoe Natural Creations

Since we began Paleo Parents, we’ve been increasingly and routinely asked to review books and products by people in and adjacent to the paleo community. At this point, we get so many we are unable to actually do the reviews of the products in a timely manner! That’s why we recruited the Paleo Parents Review Team to fill in the gaps.

Today we are please to have Amelia reviewing bathing and beauty products from Zoe Natural Creations. All of Zoe’s products use natural and organic ingredients and smell terrific! You should definitely check them out if you’re looking to switch to natural beauty products!

 

I was really excited when the opportunity to review items from Zoe Natural Creations arose. Looking at their site, I was like a kid in a candy store. I kept muttering, I want this, I want this… So much fun stuff all in one place. Plus, I can feel good about what goes into all their products – no funky ingredients. When putting together a list of what I wanted to try, I had a hard time narrowing it down so I just noted everything I liked and asked that they just send what they could spare. When the box came, I was blown away. They sent everything on the list! They even included some extras to share with Stacy. I’ve been smelling good for the past couple of months, that’s for sure.

So what did I try? I got a huge array of  bar soaps because both my husband and I love to use them in the shower. The great thing about the Zoe Natural scents (at least most of the ones I  picked) is that they aren’t overwhelmingly girly. The lemon rosemary, peppermint lime, and tea tree eucalyptus were particularly nice and a big hit with both of us. I was really surprised that my husband took to them and even tried out the scrubs. Guys deserve some healthy pampering, too. I guess if you don’t make it smell like you stepped out of a perfume bottle, they might just give it a try. This is what he had to say about his experience trying out the products:

As a guy, I don’t usually get excited about shower and/or bath time.  I typically grab the Irish spring, or whatever feminine products reside in the shower if we are out of my “go to” soap.  One day, my wife brought home a new line of products to test out for a review she was writing: Zoe Natural Creations.  As my wife placed the soaps in the bathroom, she encouraged me to use them. I guess she didn’t know I regularly use her products, but I went with it and said, “Sure Cute Woman.” Out of the corner of my eye, I caught the beautiful look of the soaps and the smell beckoned me from across the bathroom.  I grabbed the soaps enthusiastically and enjoyed them immensely.  My favorite has to be the chocolate; it smells delicious, though it tastes terrible, but then again, so does all soap. In all seriousness, I really enjoyed all of the amazing aromas and the soap is incredibly moisturizing.  Despite being a guy, I look forward to my Zoe Natural Creations bath/shower times.  I enjoyed the soaps so much I ventured out to try the scrubs, which were also AMAZING.  Now, can we have a few other products to try?  Thanks for the outstanding products Zoe!

In addition to the soaps, I also really enjoyed exfoliating with the scrubs and following with some luxurious shea body butter. That routine left me feeling moisturized and invigorated the whole day long. Taking a soak and plopping in a fizzy bath bomb was super fun, too. My box of goodies also included a flax seed bag that you can keep in the freezer as a cold pack or warm up to use as a heating pad. That was great for headaches and minor muscle aches each of us had from time to time. The owie balm was fantastic to have around for minor abrasions.

All in all, the Zoe Natural Creations products are certainly the real deal. They’ve turned my shower into a true sensory experience – one that I can also feel good about for me and my husband. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
