Hi Friends- here’s a look at our week, including a round-up of our favorite Paleo pastas and the recipes we love to use them in!
Such a GREAT NIGHT! We had a date with the two older boys to see Jurassic World. We always love being able to share experiences we had as kids with our boys in a new way.
For the movie the boys brought some leftover treats from our trip to Hersheypark, and us adults had roasted macadamia nuts (salty popcorn replacement!) and our ABSOLUTE FAVE dried strawberries from Steve’s (gummy bear replacement!).
This week we returned to routine with Stacy headed back to work starting a new job. There was a morning commute, busy days, and family dinners when she was home.
It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t let you know that this Garlic Ghee from Pure Indian Foods tastes JUST LIKE Papa John’s Garlic Sauce (you know the one we’re talking about!). Smothered all over veggies it was incredible!
It’s only fitting to drink broth out of a “Bone Broth is Beautiful” mug, right?! You might call us broth super-fans – and rightfully so after what it has done for our health! See how we make this golden nectar —> HERE!
Stacy found this photo from 2005 while doing some cleaning this weekend. Love these little moments of reflection and the immense gratitude they provide for how far we’ve both come, and how Paleo has completely changed and transformed our livesin the most incredible ways. Need help getting started? Our best tips on how to begin are here —> Real Life Paleo.
Our friend Mickey took this photo of us, and she captured so much! I love his laugh lines (and the way he looks at me). Moments like this make us thankful to have such a wonderful, supportive partner in one another. Shout-out to this incredible husband and amazing father to our three boys on Father’s Day!
Happy Father’s day to all the great dads out there!

On Sunday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. at One More Page Books in Arlington, VA, these two lovely ladies will be holding a mini-seminar complete with their best practical tips and tricks for putting their cookbooks to good use in the kitchen.
You may not even have heard of this ebook yet, but it’s one we contributed to for the BEST of our recipes of 2014. And then a TON of other amazing paleo bloggers and best selling cookbook authors also contributed – making it THE BEST paleo recipes of 2014.
But it’s GOING AWAY! So, now’s your LAST CHANCE to get The Best Paleo Recipes of 2014 ebook! On June 30th at midnight, this book will no longer be available. It’s full of the best recipes (over 150 of them) from 25 of your favorite bloggers and Paleo recipe creators (including us!) Get it —> HERE!
A very cool read on toddler temperament and gut health (I’d argue that its not just toddlers though!) Got a case of THE CRANKIES in your house? —> Toddler Temperament Could be Influenced by Different Types of Gut Bacteria.
Who doesn’t love a good INFOGRAPHIC ABOUT POO?! But seriously, do you know your poo and if its healthy? —> How Well do You Know Your S*%*?
Ask anyone what they miss most about eliminating grains from their diet, and you’ll likely hear, ‘pasta’! We’ve been Paleo for over five years, and have nailed down the BEST NOODLE ALTERNATIVES to help sustain a Paleo lifestyle!
ZOODLES! Besides being fun to say, these are simply zucchinis cut into the shape of spaghetti. We love our Paderno Spiralizer for this. Peel your zucchini first for a more spaghetti-like feel. This is a great way to get kids excited about veggies too!
Asian cuisine is one of our family’s favorites, especially the Japchae recipe from The Domestic Man. This recipe uses sweet potato starch noodles which we LOVE LOVE LOVE for their incredible texture. If you haven’t tried this recipe (or these noodles!), you are seriously missing out!
Another real food with naturally occurring noodle-like properties is the spaghetti squash. With a pretty neutral flavor, this pasta-replacement is great for a variety of recipes. Need IDEAS or INSTRUCTIONS on how to prep a spaghetti squash? Check out our tutorial —> HERE!
