3 Phase Paleo Review Round-Up #2

People just can’t stop cooing and gushing over our new baby…. I mean ebook. But seriously, writing a book sometimes really does feel like giving birth. When the idea first pops in your head, you are giddy with excitement. During the writing process, or “pregnancy” you do all you can to prepare it for a good life, and at times, you get a bit emotional. You might stress eat a bit, and you might lose some sleep. You decorate the baby’s room so that it has a wonderful place to live…. I mean you design the book, creating beautiful pages for your recipes to live. Then it comes time to launch, or “give birth” to this new creation and you are scared out of your mind. Is everything going to turn out right? Can I do this?

The night before we launched was just like any exciting birth. It took way longer than expected, and we were up til all hours of the night – way past our normal bedtime. The four members of our team were feverishly working on different final projects, and we were all communicating by group text message, group Facebook messages, and email. Crazy. At one point, our team member Katy, burst out into tears and actually had a moment where she cried, “I just don’t think I can do this!” Stacy and Courtney, both mom’s already, laughed and said, “Your in transition!” If you are a mother, and know what transition is, this stage was exactly like that – you’re tired and you just don’t think this is possible anymore. You don’t think that baby is EVER COMING OUT. But lo and behold, you can and you do, and at 1:13 am-ish, your ebook baby is born, and elation follows. By the next day you are even talking about wanting to do it again! Both book authors and mothers suffer from this mental illness.

Other than that wonderful, new-baby smell, the best part about giving birth is when your friends all love and adore your baby too. The response for 3 Phase Paleo has been overwhelming and each review is special to us in some way. Here is the second round-up of reviews from our friends in the blogger world.

[author] [author_image timthumb=’on’]http://paleoparents.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/arsy-square.jpg[/author_image] [author_info]”Overall, 3 Phase Paleo is a wonderful book filled with information that provides a road map for living well. Rather than seeing the Paleo diet as a daunting challenge or a task that you must accomplish no matter how difficult, the Paleo Parents provide a much sunnier and easier path. 3 Phase Paleo provides clear and concise information, helping you have a smooth and natural transition to a healthy lifestyle. Most importantly, transitioning slowly as they outline in their book, will be key in helping you maintain this lifestyle in the long run. ”

[author] [author_image timthumb=’on’]http://paleoparents.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Stefani-square.jpg[/author_image] [author_info]”In my opinion, because Three Phase Paleo does all the right stuff about thinking about both elimination and addition, this makes it one of the most stellar introductions out there. Good for introducing you to the topic – not overwhelming by a long shot – good for helping you with logistical needs – good for supporting your health – good for giving you the world’s best food porn and easy to make recipes. There is a particularly strong focus on nutrient-dense foods that heal, like Bone Broth, which are the one’s that Stacy credits with her own recovery.”

-Stefani Ruper, Author of Sexy By Nature and the Paleo for Women Blog[/author_info] [/author]

[author] [author_image timthumb=’on’]http://paleoparents.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/HeadShot-Square-sonia.jpg[/author_image] [author_info]Seriously, if you’ve ever considered giving the paleo lifestyle a shot but are feeling a bit overwhelmed and don’t really know where to start, THIS BOOK IS TOTALLY MEANT FOR YOU. Even if you’re not quite ready to go “full paleo” but still feel the desire to eliminate some of the less desirable foods from your family’s diets, you will no doubt find this book extremely beneficial.

[author] [author_image timthumb=’on’]http://paleoparents.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/andrea-pandp-square.jpg[/author_image] [author_info]I like this approach because when someone who eats a SAD (standard American diet) sees you cooking up your sardines with lard, or frying up some turkey livers, naturally they will be scared off. But when you give people options to transition in without feeling like they need to be “perfect” to do it right. I think the thing that frustrates me the most when I try to pitch the Paleo lifestyle to people (no it’s not a diet) is that it seems like if you’re not perfect, there’s no point in doing it. That’s not true at all. You can make small changes gradually and still make a difference.”

– Andrea, Pencils and Pancakes[/author_info] [/author]

[author] [author_image timthumb=’on’]http://paleoparents.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/rockin-fit-noms-square.jpg[/author_image] [author_info]” I like that they included this phase [Phase 3 – Heal] because it makes this e-book helpful even for paleo veterans. I was inspired by this step to eat more fish, make my own sauerkraut and finally find a good source of grass-fed beef liver.”

– Steph, Rockin’ Fit Noms[/author_info] [/author]

[author] [author_image timthumb=’on’]http://paleoparents.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/lll-square.jpg[/author_image] [author_info]”It can be so easy to become overwhelmed when going against the “grain” of everything we’ve been taught our entire lives, however, deep down, nobody really wants to take the easy way out. Regaining and maintaining control of your health is far easier than most think, with resources designed to be user-friendly, simple, and useable on a consistent basis. Enter, 3 Phase Paleo, Transition your family in 3 easy steps by Stacy and Matt, The Paleo Parents.”

[author] [author_image timthumb=’on’]http://paleoparents.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/absolute-mommy-square.jpg[/author_image] [author_info]”This book grabbed my attention immediately because it is a fool proof way to make a major lifestyle change. Eating this way is not easy, it takes prep, it takes commitment, but with this book, you could be on your way to a chemical free, preservative free lifestyle in just three easy phases. If you have been thinking of eating the Paleo way, or if you suffer from an autoimmune illness, take a moment and check out 3 Phase Paleo. It’s a great way to start out the year, to jump start your health, or make that change that you have been thinking about.”

Like I said, there’s no “its paleo or the highway” attitude!”

[author] [author_image timthumb=’on’]http://paleoparents.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/steph_-square.jpg[/author_image] [author_info]”But now that I’ve read 3 Phase Paleo, I wish I had this when I made the switch.
